Probate is the process of accounting for and distributing the assets of a person after they have passed away.
If you have a Last Will and Testament, your assets will be distributed according to your wishes. If you do not have a Will, your assets will be distributed according to Florida Law, and the “rules of intestate succession”.
Summary Administration is available for smaller Estates, with a value of $75,000 or less, or if the person has been deceased for more than 2 years. This is a relatively inexpensive and quick process and we are typically able to obtain an Order of Summary Administration in less than 6 weeks.
Formal Administration is required when the Estate is worth more than $75,000. This can be a lengthy process that can take anywhere from 7 months to a year to complete.
We are happy to provide Ancillary Probate services to people who are going through the Probate process in another State but have Florida assets that need to be accounted for and distributed.
Trust Administration services are available when the time comes to wind down a Trust.
We have been helping people and families in Charlotte County, North Port, Florida, and the surrounding areas with their Probate and Trust Administration needs for over 30 years. We are able to provide these services in all counties and judicial circuits throughout the State of Florida.
